Step 1: Approve the Creator.co Partnership in Rakuten
Before affiliate tracking can be enabled, Creator.co must be approved as a partner within your Rakuten account.
What happens in Rakuten:
Creator.co applies to partner with your brand
You receive a notification to review and approve the request
Once approved, Creator.co can securely access the information required to enable tracking
After approval, your Rakuten ID is connected to your brand profile in Creator.co.
Step 2: Add Affiliate Links to Your Campaign
Affiliate links are added directly at the campaign level so creators know exactly what to promote.
How this works:
Add one or more destination URLs in the campaign builder
Each link should include a clear, descriptive label (for example: Homepage, Best Sellers, or Product Collection)
All activated creators in the campaign will see and use the same set of links
Best practices:
Use clear labels so creators understand what they’re promoting
Especially important when multiple links are available
At this stage, links are shared at the campaign level (not assigned to individual creators).
Step 3: Complete a Test Purchase (Required)
Before launching your campaign, a test purchase is completed to confirm tracking is working correctly.
This step verifies that:
Affiliate links are functioning as expected
Conversions are attributed correctly
Campaign and creator data is passed accurately into Impact
What to expect:
A test order is placed using one of the campaign’s affiliate links
Reporting is reviewed after the next daily sync
Once confirmed, your campaign is ready to launch
📌 Affiliate reporting is not real-time. Transactions typically appear after the daily data refresh.
Where Can You View Each Creator’s Affiliate Link?
Once your campaign is live, Creator.co automatically generates a unique affiliate link for each individual creator.
You can find these links by:
Opening your campaign in the Creator.co dashboard
Clicking into a creator’s opt-in
Viewing the creator-specific affiliate link assigned to that campaign
This gives you clear visibility into which link belongs to which creator at any point during the campaign.
How Affiliate Tracking Works
Creator.co automatically tracks affiliate performance through Impact using unique link parameters assigned to each creator.
Each affiliate link tracks:
Which creator shared the link
Which campaign the link belongs to
Associated clicks and conversions
Reporting details:
Data updates once per day
Performance appears in your Affiliate Dashboard
Attribution is handled automatically — no manual tracking required
This ensures accurate, transparent reporting at both the campaign and individual creator level.
